Keelan Tobia is a dynamic drummer and versatile percussionist originally from Modesto, California, now based in Southern California. Known for his wide-ranging skill set, musical precision, and adaptability across multiple performance styles, Keelan began performing professionally at the age of thirteen while studying under Dave Hawkes.

On drum set, Keelan has backed legendary artists including Ernie Bucio, Mic Gillette (Tower of Power, Elton John, Santana, The Rolling Stones), Bill Watrous (Steely Dan), Jon Faddis (Lionel Hampton Big Band, Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra, Dizzy Gillespie United Nations Orchestra), and Tony Award winner Carol Channing (Hello, Dolly!). He most recently toured with Latin and R&B artist Jason Joshua on the Frisco With Love Tour, and currently performs nationwide as the drummer for Empire recording artist Ramirez as a member of his live band, The Flawless Immaculates.

Keelan has also performed in major live productions and international broadcasts, including the Super Bowl LIX halftime show featuring Bad Bunny and the FIFA Club World Cup halftime show featuring Coldplay and J Balvin. Additional performance credits include appearances with Kanye West, BTS, Kygo, Migos, Pharrell, 2Chainz, the San Francisco Symphony, and professional sports drumlines for the Golden State Warriors, San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Chargers, and LA Kings.

Keelan began his drum corps journey at the age of six, developing alongside his drum set career, two paths that would ultimately shape his voice as a performer. From 2009 to 2012 he performed as a snare drummer with the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps, earning three undefeated DCI World Championships and two Fred Sanford High Percussion awards, including the only undefeated percussion season in the corps’ history in 2009. He is also a three time DCI Individual and Ensemble gold medalist in the World Class division, winning snare solo in 2011 and 2012, and percussion ensemble in 2012. His achievements and influence in the marching percussion community were recognized by The New York Times and the San Francisco Chronicle, which highlighted his role in the growth of the online marching community and his influence on young performers worldwide.

In addition to live performance, Keelan has recorded for film and television with credits including Marvel Studios, and has appeared on screen as a drummer in productions released on Disney Plus, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and in theaters, including the feature film Babylon. He has also served internationally as a battery arranger for The Yokohama Robins in Yokohama, Japan, earning a High Percussion title in his first season as arranger.

Drawing from deep experience in both drum set and marching percussion, Keelan brings a unique musical voice to every performance. His ability to move between the commercial music industry, live broadcast productions, and the marching arts allows him to contribute with authenticity, versatility, and musicality in any setting.
